well, i managed to screw up my install, so i can't use the ZIONISTPIGS account, so like a moraaan i'm gonna have to wait a few days before they sort that out :retard:

in the mean time, i've had a leedle go with the SP side of things..

quite funny, COD seems light years ahead, but it's got it's good points..early on you talk this walk thru some jungle and the engine looks awesome, have to say!

hehe, shouldn't be too long m8 ;)

this SP side of things is quite cool, i couldn't pin down what is was about it that reminded me of something, then it hit me, it's like a cross between the dreaded far cry 2 and cod!

i guarantee you need to play it on the hardest setting, as even this is hard enough! jeez, was this setup for GIRLS?! it could easily be a lot harder..

ur squad tends to run ahead and clear enemies out before you get there, so watch for that..

some of the early jungle scenes really show this engine up as being really good..i found myself just sitting there looking at the trees lol!

gonna play a bit of MP tonight..see if i can spot a map that i like

well, finally finished the campaign, have to say it was a blast!

really good..some holes in the process, but for a first try at a campaign within battlefield, pretty much scored a hit first time!

easily as good as any COD or crysis/far cry etc..

the main real negative was the amount and duration of cut scenes between AND within missions, but that's just cos it's so good you wanna get back to the action!

recommended! :helmet:

EA’s announced that over 2.3 million units of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 have been sold in Europe and the US since its release two weeks ago in both regions.

The game was at one point the fastest selling title in the UK at launch. A game mode update for the shooter is set to drop on March 30: the same day fierce rival Modern Warfare 2 releases its first DLC.

EA also provided with other stats for the DICE shooter, such as 81 billion points racked up in multiplayer games, 6 million video views on YouTube and in the past 24 hours, 2.9 million hours have been spent playing online.

“We are so thrilled with the success of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sales and fan response,” said Battlefield series executive producer, Karl-Magnus Troedsson.

“In the first 48 hours we had such a tremendous rush to multiplayer gameplay that our servers experienced overwhelming demand. This is a testament to the massive response players have had worldwide for the extraordinary action experienced in the Battlefield sandbox.”

On a similar note, I saw a ranked server in the list last night (I forget the name) that actually had as part of the description "NO grenade launchers or mortar strikes allowed!".

Correct me if I'm wrong but that's not allowed if the server is ranked - it's against the EULA and also (by the old BF2 rules) the Terms Of Engagement.

Didn't go on the server - obvious from that description that they're a bunch of whiney bitches that rage when a GL or Mortar kills them. They need to grow up - it's WAR ffs!!
